Combined Defence Services or CDS examination is conducted to recruit candidates in the Indian Armed Forces. Aspirants willing to become a part of Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Officers Training Academy, and Indian Air Force Academy can apply for the CDS exam and chase their dream career. Combined Defence Services examination is conducted twice a year by UPSC. Candidates will be called for Services Selection Board (SSB) after qualifying CDS exam and after that, recommended candidates will be appointed with their respective training academies.
Candidates who have settled in India permanently can apply for CDS Exam.
Candidates must be graduate or at least appearing in the final year/semester.
The minimum age limit is 19 to apply for the CDS
Women candidates are only eligible to apply for OTA
Unmarried candidates should not be divorced.
B.tech candidates can apply for IMA, INA AFA also.
Candidates both male and female must meet the physical standard specified by UPSC
Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.
